The Wiggins Hill BESS scheme is being proposed by partners Field and RE Projects Development Ltd (REPD).
The land we are looking to develop sits adjacent to the Peddimore scheme on land to the south side of Bulls Lane and on the east side of Wiggins Hill Road, Minworth, Sutton Coldfield, B76 9QE.
The proposed battery energy storage system (BESS) will be able to store and release energy from the electricity network. It will have a storage capacity of up to 49.9 megawatts (MW) and provide energy security to the local grid during times of peak demand.
